Diego Knows is a New York native, Co-Founder of Cut-Line Records, and a global ambassador of house music. Growing up immersed in New York City’s vibrant underground scene, Diego’s musical journey began after a life-changing experience at Pacha NYC. Late nights at the iconic club introduced him to pulsating techno, tribal drums, and electrifying electro sounds, igniting his passion for music and inspiring him to explore his creativity as an artist. By his late teens, Diego was already producing tracks influenced by the sensory overload of NYC nightlife—the lights, the beats, and the deep connection of the dance floor. These formative experiences shaped a sound that seamlessly blends funk, disco, house, and minimal with the raw energy of the underground. After a decade of refining his craft, Diego launched Cut-Line, making his debut at legendary venues like the Panther Room and The Roof at Output. What began as an event and artist management company is now evolving into a vinyl record label, set to launch in early 2025. Diego later partnered with Sergio Santos to create FUNKY PEOPLE, a monthly party at TBA Brooklyn celebrated for its eclectic track selection and groovy vibe. Alongside Jeremy Ismael, the trio took FUNKY PEOPLE on the road, performing at top venues across New York City, the U.S., and Europe. As a producer, Diego has released music with his lifelong friend Maják on renowned labels like Yoyaku, Decay, and Street King. Their collaborations showcase a seamless blend of groove-heavy rhythms and intricate production, earning them recognition in the global underground scene. Together, they have contributed to respected imprints such as Superfreq, Wildfamily, Staybad, Good Luck Penny, and Fine Mode, with their work consistently championed by DJs and tastemakers alike.
