Dextro is the work of Scottish musician and producer Ewan Mackenzie, based in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. Dextro has released music through Border Community (Nathan Fake/James Holden), Gronland Records (Neu!/Harmonia), A Strangely Isolated Place (Arovane/36), Inverted Grim Mill Recordings and through his own imprint, 16k Records. The music of Dextro has been described as “a transitional state of journeying” (A Closer Listen) where guitar, piano, drums and synth drones interchange to create what has been described as feeling “akin to climbing and descending from a mountain” (Muzik discovery).
