This could be the Motto of this unusual gathering of a very open minded tribe of party goers whose aim is to make you dance far away from conventional mass clubbing . Born at the end of the 70’s on the ashes of psychedelic rock and the last smells of flower power –Disco music which has taken his roots in NYC clubs has sometimes ended up in a formated style. As all music genres, a few artists started to get away from the original aspect of this music to create a more provocative genre. In Italy, Cosmic Disco will later give birth to Italo Disco, and all over Europe many composers be them belgian, french, german, turkish or other nationalities – create their own version of Disco Music. Soon, you are to find Disco productions worldwide in South-East Asia, Africa, Brazil and even India. In Europe, in the 80’s is also emerging a new genre flirting with great synths and irresistible drums machine, these simple melodies give birth to Synth wave and death disco. Deviant Disco is born out of all these musical streams. First a Facebook group, Deviant Disco soon turned into a record label, a Soundcloud and a party promotor. Rarities, old tracks but also current productions, DD is composed of Diggers and curious Djs & producers. Something that looks like Disco but which is not really Disco: this is our Motto. Deviant Disco is based in Paris in 2013 on an original idea of Eva Peel. In 2022, a new sub label called Deviant Pop emerged after lockdown.
