Dei Funk is the name of the newly found collaborative project between Erich Joseph also now known as Ica and Hip-Hop artist David Finkelman Sánchez (Halienigena). Both born in Cali, Colombia and sharing a long-standing friendship that has music and well-being at its core, both artists have been constantly involved in Cali’s fiery Nightlife and Berlin’s never-ending offer of diverse electronic sounds. The project aims at co-creating a space of House, uplifting resonance in which dancers are immersed, enabling them to leave their negative dispositions behind and engage in spontaneous interactions full of positivity, empathy, warmth and togetherness. Dei Funk is born from the love of communicating and relating through House music as a community. For this, Dei Funk showcases an ample spectrum of House music ranging from minimalistic grooves, tribal atmospheres, percussive Tech-House, old-school classics, melodic vocals and energetic Hard-House, all informed by their Latin Influences. In Short, Funk Dei’s will play anything that’s House-related, with the certainty that it will make a dancer smile.
