Dj De La ioakim's fascination with all things musical started in the mid 80's on the exotic island of Cyprus, blending mix-tapes and religiously jotting down the weekly chart listings (yes on paper). She then started deejaying at friends' parties and bars in Cyprus, dot, dot, dot, only to find herself some years later playing in places like Mexico City, Paris, Athens, Barcelona and London. She has a penchant for all music with heart & soul at its core. Be it acid jazz, funk, nu-disco or italo & hi-nrg house. Her blending is always eclectic and outside the box, keeping a melodic communication at the same time. She spend a few years being resident DJ at the renowned Nobu Lounge in London. Also played in many bars, many different locations, like: Dalston Superstore (London), Icebar Barcelona, Melia Sky (Barcelona), Surya (Barcelona), Eat Street Festival (Barcelona), Hideaway Jazz Bar (London), Vogue Fabrics (London), East Bloc (London), Paloma (Berlin), Six Dogs (Athens), Ammos Beach Club (Cyprus), Vinyl Bar (Cyprus), New Division (Cyprus), Notes & Spirits (Cyprus), A Liar Man (Athens), Subliminal (Lebanon), Living (Mexico City), Zoo (Cyprus), Flying Away Festival (Cyprus), Bristol Pride, Cyprus Pride....κτλ.
