Dawit, at 34, is the oldest of the troupe and one of the founders of the collective. His origin: Eritrea. Self-employed hairdresser by day, passionate DJ by night. He practices both with passion and also with success. Dawit regularly visits international hairstylist stages, takes on jobs at shootings and proves again and again what he is made of. For him, the focus is clearly on connecting with others, exchanging knowledge and supporting each other. He is not only a good networker, he also benefits on a social and musical level. Especially when Dawit is on the road at international festivals, contacts are made that often become friendships across national borders. Dawit describes his music style as "minimal but funky as well, with the right groove people feel what it's all about for me and STUDIO 17 when he is DJing. It's not just about techno, not just about dancing, but about vibing. It's all amplified by special melodies and breaks." He always tries to express his feeling for people and to reflect and heat up the emotions of the crowd as good as possible.
