David Sabat grew up in the early 1980s during the birth of Chicago House Music. With influences in his back yard such as Frankie Knuckles, Ron Hardy, and Lil’ Louis, he was quickly captured by the uplifting spirit of House. After leaning to spin, David continued to develop his skills and expand his music collection. He paid his way through college DJing at several nightclubs and college events exp...osing the Chicago House sound to his peers while focusing heavily on breaking new music. In the early 1990s David coordinated large music video dance shows across the United States which consisted mostly of popular music. He eventually found his way back to the Chicago House Music scene and decided he could be a larger asset to the House community in another capacity. In 2003 David's vision emerged as ChicagoSoundSource.com, showcasing some of the best DJ talent Chicago has to offer. He built shows, promotion, and bookings for this highly select group of all-star Chicago DJs/producers along with rising talent and fused them with incredible free-style musicians. This unique blend of DJs and musicians were the building blocks of ChicagoSoundSource.com. In 2004 David Sabat co-founded the Chicago House Music Association (CHMA). This not-for-profit organization focused on unity within the Chicago House Music community and hosted an annual Chicago DJ Softball tournament featuring several legendary and internationally recognized DJs/producers/performers, as well as some of Chicago's newest talent. The tournament became one of the most anticipated and unique House events in Chicago. Sabat launched ChicagoSoundSource.com Music in 2006, a digital record label featuring the production of his affiliated artists. 2006 also saw the return of David Sabat as a DJ. Working with so many talented DJs, producers, vocalists, and musicians eventually gave Sabat new influences and motivation to revive and revamp himself as a performer. Currently, David Sabat is DJing all over Chicago and beyond. He has played in cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Toronto, Atlanta, Paris, and Amsterdam just to name a few. In December 2007 Sabat performed for the first time with the House Music band MAAD SOUL and was invited to the group as their resident DJ in June 2008. MAAD SOUL has taken off and has become one of Chicago's hottest live House acts. In May 2009 Sabat started a DJ marketing blog to share marketing and promotion ideas with his fellow DJs. Also in 2009, he founded HIGH on SOUL, an all new independent digital record label focusing on the genres of Soulful and Deep House Music. After nearly two years of R&D the first release came in March of 2011 and now distributes on Traxsource, iTunes, Amazon, AfrodesiaMP3 & more.
