Originally a multi-instrumentalist experienced with drums, hand percussion, dabbling in bass, guitar, piano, and more, Daniel Schutten later began DJing as a natural extension of his love for electronic music. Daniel Schutten weaves sonic tapestries that elevate the points where tracks are layered together, relying on danceworthy grooves and subtle emotion. Daniel keeps a strong sense of rhythm going throughout the mix, opting to create ebb & flow in outside-the-box ways that keep dancers on their toes. Daniel's main inspirations are the relentless techno and hardgroove of the early 2000s and second wave Detroit techno. Out of a desire to elevate turntablism, Daniel co-founded Complexity, an all-vinyl event company which showcases vinyl DJs in the GTA. He has an on-going YouTube series 'On Tap', a platform for vinyl mixing.
