DJ Dan Medland has been a formidable force in the house music scene for almost 30 years, drawing inspiration from the vibrant underground music culture — a place where inclusivity, acceptance, and beats, RULED. Having partied at venues in the late '90s, from Montreal’s iconic SONA, ARIA, and (((Stereo))), to Toronto’s raw underground clubs Industry, Joy, and The Guverment, and of course legendary clubs Atomic, Surface, ICON, and Mercury Lounge in his home town Ottawa, Dan is no stranger to 'The Scene'. Dan apprenticed under the guidance of Ottawa DJ legends Neill MacLeod and Joe Juarez, and having performed supporting sets for the likes of Anthony Attalla, DJ MES, Bad Boy Bill, Luke Fair, Stephan Grondin, Palash, and DJ Heather just to name a few, Dan has a first class education in the art of set building, storytelling, and how to make you shake from your nipples down to your feet, as he commands the dancefloor with his HOUSE, TECH, and TRIBAL beats. In 2024, Dan teamed up with good friend, fellow DJ, and Audiophile, Brad Ashby (Brash-B) to create Beat Therapy. Beat Therapy is a movement, based out of Toronto, Ontario, that is rooted in community, and driven by the passion for great music and amazing sound. Beat Therapy events are grassroots, house music events that bring together dancers, DJs, and music lovers from all walks of life into the same room, for the same purpose: TO LOSE OURSELVES IN THE BEAUTIFUL SOUND THAT IS HOUSE MUSIC.
