Cruz Cruz began causally DJing in the summer of 2010. After playing the Holy Ship! Pre-party in Miami in 2014, he made the decision to get more involved with New York City's constantly evolving dance music scene. After collaborating with fellow NYC DJ Les Go, the two founded the VONOV Artist Collective (formerly known as 5th of Nov.), a group whose primary focus was showcasing NYC's up-and-coming DJs from marginalized backgrounds--primarily those of color and/or from the LGBTQ+ community. VONOV's parties have revered for their unique themes, locations, and visuals. Inspired by the salsa/merengue, 90's hip-hop, and House he grew up listening to, Cruz's sets fuse together Latin/Afro Tech House, high-energy House & Techno, a sprinkling of Acid & UKG, and feel-good House tunes you can't help but sing along to.
