Coyoy discovers a unique form of Art in dancing, in the late 80s into the early 90s while a regular party goer decides to become a promoter as well. Is there that behind the scenes the Art of djng starts to intrigue his mind. Watching masters at the turntables week in and week out become an obsession for him. Decides to get himself a pair of turntables and already a breakdancer, blending becomes second nature to him, his body matching the beats on the dance floor, now his hands match quick two records back and forth. Soon getting booked to a few clubs on his own, Central Fly, China club, Cheetah, The Shadow, the Tunnel, Club Exit ( formerly known as Mirage and Carbon ) to name a few. His love for vinyl has always been one to collect a wide range of music on the groove such as jazz, funk, 50s, 60s, all the way through, rock, new wave, freestyle, latin, and of course all kinds of electronic genres. You can regularly find him at record shops around town either in NYC or Brooklyn. Lately, his traveled mostly overseas to Latin America including Zephyr Lodge in Guatemala, El Be Club in Tamarindo Costa Rica, Menos1 microclub in Bogota Colombia, Virgen Club in Quito Ecuador, Rio Hostel in Buritaca Colombia, Creamy House in Playa del Carmen Mexico. in 2025, Coyoy is unleashing his own imprint on vinyl only label VanguardPremiere records and has been working in a variety of tracks on different electronic genres from mellow tracks to upbeat tempos and working on a few European gigs as well this time around.
