Nathan Cooper-Brown (Coops) hails from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and has been DJing now for 6 and a half years and remixing for the last one. Beginning his trade in San Francisco under the watchful eye of Nor Cal native Dimitris Mykonos, Coop's humble start was in the Bay Area own soulful house genre. On returning to Melbourne Coop broadened his scope and became heavily influenced by Berlin's illustrious tech seen, and with this, was provided with a whole new world of inspiration. Coop's beginnings in funk, soul, disco and classic house came together with his budding love of techno and deep grooves to create the bouncy, tail-feather shaking sound his fans came to know and love. Coops has been able to enjoy gigs in the UK in 2009, combined with a series of regular sets in Melbourne's famed club scene including supporting huge international acts. With a recent return to his roots Coops has combined his love of the original sounds of Disco, with such influences as the legendary Greg Wilson, and Deep House with influences such as ANDHIM and Chris Lattner to give fans a series of diverse shows. Coop's is creating a dancefloor sound that combines grooves from both the old and the new, and looks forward to continuingly growing as an artist in his beloved genres.
