Confit Dub, aka Bruno Dimitrov, is a Bristol-based live act and DJ whose production journey began with hip hop and sampling inspired by production maestro Madlib. After moving to Bristol as a teenager, he became immersed in the city’s soundsystem culture, discovering dubstep, electro and the deeper strands of UK bass music that continue to inform his sound. Working primarily with hardware, Confit Dub approaches performance as an evolving, process-led practice. His sets and productions blend dub-influenced rhythm, downtempo pulse and textural space, favouring subtle shifts and atmosphere over fixed structures. He has held residencies and performed with collectives and platforms including Noods Radio, Void Radio, Artefacts, Dismantle, Damballah, Doozy, Floorwerk, Odd Sea Tapes, and no_one. More recently, his live work has ventured into ambient and downtempo territory, with live performances for iconic Bristol chillout session Haze, Red Orange’s Digital Ferment exhibition, Kasheme in Zurich, and Passé Vite in Lisbon.
