… Claus Fuss hits hard on the 4 with his throbbing beast, Static Ace.

…Claus Fuss runs with the theme on his offering ‘Static Ace’. Over more than ten minutes, Fuss spins out a hypnotic bleep loop into a piece of potent dancefloor goodness, merging it with a drum track that spends a couple of minutes getting its act together before locking into a hard-as-nails four-on-the-floor.

…The minimal aesthetic extends from the artwork and the track titles (simply ‘A’ and ‘B’) to the music itself. ‘A’ is a stunning seven-minute techno epic, with slivers of light and trembling radar bleeps cutting through the super deep bass. Patience is rewarded with the introduction of an arresting Bascom X reggae vocal. ‘B’ is a darker, more propulsive affair that takes the radar bleeps and turns them into more of a melodic motif.
