Clarisse is a Berlin based techno DJ who is currently holding residencies at Strictly Forbidden and DVTN (Arena-Club, Berlin). Additionally, she performs at numerous well known venues such as Griessmuehle or VOID-Club. In a monthly curated night at Dream Baby Dream, she invites local and international artists for an exchange. Born and raised in Munich, she moved from an academic background with a PHD in philosophy to the gloomy raves of the capital, finding sanctuary in concrete power plants, warehouses and underground parties that primarily influenced her bleak industrial sound. Her fierce and intransigent mixes are pathways into realms far beyond organic nature and individual idiosyncrasies; where inexorable compulsions tear at the remains of human communication. Getting lost on the beat means physically experiencing the distance between oneself’s particular existence and the collective spell. Within a timeless sphere of euphoric self-abandonment, melodic fragments shine through. Something new appears.
