Claire Marshall is currently straddling the fields of archeology, music and creative heritage applications, and an academic researcher into the use of sound design in museum contexts. Claire has studied and published work on the importance of multi-sensory experience in heritage applications and on life quality issues. Claire has been playing composition work and DJing to audiences in Europe and North America for over 20 years. By combining influences from socially interesting cities into electronic work, the result is a varied and dark interpretation of the world around us. Recently work has also been influenced by other alternative and leftfield producers to create an eclectic repertoire of both electronic and acoustic arrangements for installations, museums, multi-sensory experience and general listening pleasure. Currently working on collaborative sound design and also an album of electro-acoustic composition. By drawing on a wide range of vintage synthesizers, everyday sounds, acoustic and ancient replica instruments.. it is hoped that a truly unique sound can be realised. Focusing dancefloor related music with heavy influences from the historico-musicology of the cities of Detroit, Chicago and New York and cross references from Manchester, Sheffield, London and Glasgow via Dusseldorf and Berlin. Musical output will exhibit a deep rooted sense of importance of origin myths.
