Mattie Cahill aka Chucky ár nGrá (Gaelic colloquialization for "Our Love Will Come) is exactly after that, bring together the community the other side of the decks in the love that music brings, take his hand and allow him yo take you on a sonic journey, fear not, he treads lightly. With a history in Jazz bands, Orchestras, classically trained and being a mainstay in the brass section 🎺, this has massively influenced the style of his sets. His versatility is testament to the wide spanning love of many genres, from downtempo minimal jazz right up to 170 dnb, frenchcore and even a sprinkle of gabber, plus everything in between. Co-founder of the relatively new but commanding Yawlag Collective based in Galway, West of Ireland, formed to build a community for the love of music, creating togetherness, a platform to create, inspire, include and give opportunity to those in a difficult industry only starting out. Yawlag strive to eternally give back, offering mix meetups to budding djs, college students and even secondary school students. With residencies in the infamous Blue Note, Mary Mullen's, McGettigan's (Cuba 2.0), the Dean and soon Electric, this year is set to be a big one moving forward, with international gigs secured in the Netherlands, Berlin and NYC. No stranger to the festival circuit, Chucky is returning to Éalú le Grá for its fourth run, Chucky's 3rd appearance on the lineup. Éalú's colossal success at their new stage at All Together Now Festival's has been cemented after a bumper year in 2023, so much so that the honour has been granted once again. Chucky will return for the second time with the Yawlag collective out in force. Burning Man tickets and flights confirmed, he'll be bringing his USB's for any camps that would like to give him a slot.
