Christian Tokyo is a New York Native DJ and multi-disciplinary Creative of both Korean and Nigerian descent. Born in Harlem and raised in the South Bronx - the birthplace of the modern day DJ; Tokyo takes his multi-faceted upbringing and cultural understanding directly to your sound system. Featured on radio platforms (NTS, Rinse, Lot Radio) and already having brushed shoulders with new and classic NYC legends like 90’s Rave Legend DJ Scotto & the Bronx’s world renowned duo the Martinez Brothers. Tokyo continues to step forward as a premier selector in a new wave of DJs firmly representing their hometown. Growing up with mentors from iconic underground New York establishments (The Loft, Shelter & Limelight) solidified Christian's interest and enrollment in this school of thought provided by those who danced before us. From velvety House to magnetic Techno, warped Electro and all along the spectrum of dance music, you can feel the intent and emotion in Christian’s selections. His ultimate intention is to build a community of diverse forward thinking individuals all in search of peace, truth, & love through sound.
