CLUBS As Resident of Berlin´s Piepshow at infamous Kitkat Club, DJ & producer Chris Bekker finds himself right in the heart of Berlin´s electronic scene. The agenda of his worldwide gigs and club residencies looks like a list of the industry´s most successful brands, incl. La Démence Brussels, Green Komm Cologne, Pervert/Matinée Barcelona, Cox Milan, Macho/WE Party Madrid and many more. In 2019 he played his first set live at legendary Tomorrowland together with Paul van Dyk and his DJ team. Since 2010 he has officially been representing visitBerlin with its international projects around the globe and since 2018 until today Chris is part of Paul van Dyk´s SHINE Ibiza team that is holding its weekly Ibiza show in the summer months. SOUND & PRODUCTIONS Chris´ productions and live sets stand for energizing electronic journeys, always breaking the barriers between Trance, Progressive and Melodic House & Techno vibes. He is cooperating and producing with and for worldwide leading artists such as Paul van Dyk, Jerome Isma-Ae, Paul Thomas, Orkidea and many more while his productions are featured by the leaders of the electronic music scene, such as Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren or Markus Schulz. In 2013 electronic DJ and producer Paul van Dyk discovered Chris´ potential and signed him to the Paul van Dyk label VANDIT Records and later VANDIT Alternative. His first VANDIT production ‚Telling Tales‘ charted right away and became a worldwide club anthem. Several VANDIT club smashers, such as ‚Heimat B‘, ‚CMYK‘, ‚TXL‘, ‚Fractals‘, ‚London Sunrise‘, etc. followed, as well as TOP 10 beatport hit ‘Klangstunde’. Chris´ first artist album ‚BERLINITION’ (VANDIT Rec./2016) includes a full Berlin album video which is soundtracked by the ‚BERLINITION’ album nonstop-mix. The Berlinition album movie has become part of Lufthansa´s worldwide in-flight video entertainment. Since 2016 Chris is touring worldwide with his studio partner Paul van Dyk, doing shows all across the globe. Chris´ productions have been part of Paul van Dyk´s last three studio albums 2018-2021. In 2022 his collabs ‘Rhapsody’ together w/ Paul van Dyk and ‘Mind Rave’ (2023) with Orkidea reached #3 in the worldwide DJ Charts plus TOP 100 of the most sold Progressive tracks of 2023, in 2022 ‘Apex’ reached the beatport TOP10 position in even two categories for several weeks at the same time. Together with his London studio partner Pagano, Chris has been releasing their more tech-oriented club anthems of their so-called „Hashtag“ series, such as ‚Hashtag Wunder‘ (2016), ‚Hashtag Boundaries‘ (2019) or ‚Hashtag Biscuit‘ (2021). WHAT ELSE? Besides his DJ business Chris Bekker is leading the worldwide acting corporate sound agency ‚klang ID berlin‘ and is teaching ‚Innovation Management‘, ‚Neuromarketing‘ and ‚Multisensorics‘ at three Berlin universities.
