Chelita Chorty

Her sounds range from Latin Bass/Club, Ballroom, Jersey Club, Bouyon, Dembow, Techno, to some breaks and much more. The aim is always to inspire collective movement & twerk-offs!! You likely never know what to expect but it’s likely always what the dance floor needs. A Nicaraguan-Canadian based in Berlin, Chelita Chorty finds ways to celebrate her Latin roots throughout her sets, blending rhythms and influences that invite people to move freely and fully. Her approach to DJing is about more than music, but about creating moments where strangers become dance partners, and where sweaty, messy dancing is inevitable. As founder of SYNCHRONICITY, an intimate event series bringing BIPOC/LGBTQ+ talent and community together, Chelita Chorty strives to create safe and welcoming spaces for people to show up as they are, connect, and find inspiration both on and off the dancefloor.
