Since his breakout record on Skint in 2019, Chaney has become one of the UK’s most in-demand dance music DJ/Producers. Combining innate musicality with a slick production style and depth of sonic knowledge that continues to impress tastemakers of the highest order. With releases on key imprints such as Toolroom, KooKoo, and Insomniac. Now, Chaney is taking his touring to the next level and ascending to new heights. While Chaney’s records are produced with the dancefloor firmly in mind, he maintains a production style that incorporates live instrumentation with a broad range of musical references and adept technical abilities. He demonstrates his roots as a songwriter, never lacking melody and message. Describing his sound as, “Nostalgic” and taking influences from, “disco, Deep House and early 2000s house,” he has garnered the support of key industry figures including Patrick Topping, Jamie Jones, Chris Lake, Danny Howard, Fisher, Adam Port, and The Blessed Madonna. After signing a publishing deal at 16 with Warner Chappell, he quickly adapted to high-paced studio sessions with a variety of vocalists. His natural musicality became clear, carrying it into everything he does as an artist to this day, from the records he releases to his eclectic DJ sets. The turning point for Chaney’s career came when he released ‘39 Times’ on Skint, receiving strong tastemaker support from heavyweights such as Patrick Topping, Jamie Jones, and Annie Mac, who invited him onto her esteemed BBC Radio 1 show. He continued to further his impressive list of releases with records signed to Toolroom Records, D4 D4NCE [Defected Records], Insomniac, Edible, KooKo, Good Company, Armada, Cr2, and Stress Records, to name just a few. As a DJ, Chaney has played renowned festivals and venues such as EDC Las Vegas, Nocturnal Wonderland, Academy LA, W Barcelona, ADE, as well as London’s KOKO and Studio 338. Having signed to Radius Agency Worldwide in 2023, Chaney’s abilities as a selector continue to turn heads, while his live diary is looking healthier than ever. With his production talents often sought out beyond his own original records, his credits include Kaskade, Michael Calfan, Dombresky, Oliver Nelson, Feed Me, Karim Naas, PS1, Ben Rau, The Manor, and GotSome.
