Cervo

Cervo
Biografía
The night has built a special identity rooted in groove
and percussion, and threading creative connections through jazz, disco,
afrobeat, kwaito, techno, house, soul, kuduro, footwork and more.
It is this same dynamism and global inquisitiveness that defines Cervo as
a DJ – it isn’t any surprise that he’s played around the world in places such
as Japan, Uganda, Vietnam, Singapore & the Philippines, as well as
sharing the booth with the likes of Gilles Peterson, Move D, Marcellus
Pittman, Tama Sumo, Call Super, DJ Marfox and many others.
His early production work released by Seven Davis Jr on R2 Records in
2016 was critically well received, and he stepped it up a level last year with an EP on Marcel Vogel’s Lumberjacks in Hell and a 12” on Bristol label Black Acre.
He also launched the Banana Hill vinyl imprint, with two Cervo edits of
Moroccan multi-instrumentalist Majid Bekkas selling out in a few weeks,
and receiving plaudits from the likes of Hunee, Optimo, Auntie Flo,
Jimpster and many more.
