Cem is one of the 3 founders of STUDIO17. He is 25 and has Turkish roots. No matter how stressful or hectic it is, Cem manages to keep calm in any situation - despite his inherited temperament. He came into contact with electronic music at an early age. Mainly through his uncle who lives and loves music himself and was a DJ. "The passion for minimal of any kind was passed on to me and now I want to put others under the spell of this wonderful music!". Cem's uncle shows him music from Raresh and Rahdoo, tells them about Kater Holzig and the Fusion Festival. He also convinces Cem to create his first setup, because for them it has always been clear - the true art lies in the vinyl sound. It doesn't take long and Cem gets himself a mixer and two Technics 1210s, which are still his favorites today. He describes his music style as: "A journey to all the sounds that touch my soul. I try to cover all facets of minimal. But there are always lush basslines infectious melodies and a lot of groove."
