The idea for Carpe Noctem happened in late December of 2022, after Konnor got asked to play at Beats Vision in Southend. Konnor wanted to play the music he loved with Ben, instead of by himself, and this has taken us to some great venues around the south like Annie’s Attic, Dirties, Cinnabar and much more. Konnor fell in love with the scene in 2020 when his Aunty took him to his first ‘Secret Squirrel’ rave and he got instantly hooked. Since then Konnor’s had a song out on Odyssey but now works closely with Ben to purely focus on CarpeNoctem and their sound. Similarly, Ben’s passion for the scene stemmed through his mum, whose love for 90s house and garage shaped his childhood & ultimately his DJing and producing. Our goals for the future are to play at festivals and to have records signed on for labels like Trick and Solid Grooves. The journeys only beginning for these two.
