Carol Mattos’s sound is an hypnotic experience with multiple layers that combine cosmic synths, industrial machinery sounds and intense dark beats. She seeks her references in 80’s synth pop, dark wave and disco, detroit acid and many of the new Latin American productions. With strong basslines, organic elements and futuristic sounds she creates an immersive atmosphere that engage the dancefloor in a cosmic journey.  Carol began in the electronic independent scene with MASTERp la n o collective, in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, that produce parties with the goal to rediscover the city and question its restrictive functionalism. They also promote encounters and workshops to discuss and produce from questionings that surpass the festive experience, such as diversity, gender, sexuality, territory, independent production and others.  In 2016 she became resident DJ at MAMBA NEGRA and also began Sintetica, a party that aims to create space and give visibility to women who operate in different fields in the electronic music scene. The party crew is entirely composed by women and non binary people. In 2017 Carol played at the first edition of DGTL festival in Brazil, MECA festival, two editions of Kubik and at Ubris, at Côte d’Ivoire, in Africa. Resident in São Paulo, she has been in some of the main parties and labels of the brazilian independent scene in 11 different cities, like Capslock, ODD (São Paulo), Vapor (Brasilia), MOO (Rio de Janeiro) and Sweetuf Records (Curitiba).
