Biografía

Carlos Rizzi is an electronic music producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist from Bogotá, Colombia. His work has focused on sound exploration and extreme sample manipulation, creating textures reminiscent of glitch, IDM and ambient. Since 2015 he has released 2 EPs and one album. He has collaborated with artists such as Santiago Navas, Brazo de Reina, Arrabalero, Tama the Cat and MaWal among others. He has remixed songs for Humano en Tránsito, Pálido Adiós, Arrabalero and Cauce, as well as for Babelgam and Los Viles under his alias Óptico through which he released an EP in 2023. On the other hand, he has worked as a sound artist for installations such as his intervention in Antonio Yemail's “Fábrica de Afectos”, in the Aluna installation at Burning Man and for Silvana Malaver's work “Ethereal Phenomena” in Tokyo. Together with Mateo Walschburger, he heads the Sabana Records label which, since the pandemic, has worked with various Colombian artists looking for new spaces and proposals in the national electronic music panorama. He has been a mixing and mastering engineer for artists such as 2AT, BRENDA, Brazo de Reina, Tama the Cat, Audenza, Matuk, Mawal and Cauce, among others. He has performed at the Festival Centro in 2022, at the Bogotá Planetarium, and at the Yavería Festival and participated as a guest musician for the presentation of Santiago Navas at the FEP 2023. He has also performed as a guest artist in Berlin, on stages like Sauer Mutter, Prince Charles and dBs. And he has been invited to make mixes for various international online radio spaces such as Radio Alhara (Palestine), HKCR (Hong Kong) and Internet Public Radio (Guadalajara). He's currently working on his second album, “Teselas” that will be released in 2024
