Carlo & Selma are an emerging Copenhagen DJ duo from opposite corners of Europe. The Scandi-Latino duo samples eclectic influences from the globe. Their contrasting backgrounds render a perfect match behind the decks mixing north with south, Vikings with Romans and reindeer with ravioli. Carlo & Selma are known for their playful and evocative sets, drifting between moods and tempos. They have set the mood of most dancefloors in Copenhagen - including Culture Box, Jolene and Ved Siden Af (previously Et Andet Sted) - and paid foreign visits to Salon Zur Wilden Renate, Berlin and Dalston Superstore in London. Musically they are grounded in classic house and disco, but frequently experiment with a wide range of music, reaching from African grooves and Latin beats to breakbeats and techno. They are also co-founders and residents at the Copenhagen club night Group Therapy, where they work actively for promoting underground queer culture and female representation in the city’s music scene.
