The whole journey started, when Carl and Viktor attended a techno event in 2016 which had Felix Kröcher as a headliner. The two were attracted by the music and instantly took a more closer step into the world of electronic music. Under the musical influence of artists like Mark Reeve, Enrico Sangiuliano or even Mainstream Fisher, Carl and Viktor decided they wanted to mix their own music and bought the most simple of them all: a pioneer ddj400. Being taught by one of them school friends and by countless youtube videos, Carl and Viktor soon developed a unique style of mixing and started to host several private events back in 2018 to entertain and sometimes surely also torture ;) a small amount of very close friends in the basement of Carls grandmother. Whilst having this as a kind of fun hobby during the final years of school, the whole thing took a rather quick, more serious turn when both of us initially attended a rather professional organized rave in a berlin basement, when suddenly one of the DJ slots became free. Asked by their friends, Carl and Viktor quickly sorted some tracks in the Tram on their way to the event and spontaneously performed their first live event after several training sessions in grandmas basement. Having had good feedback even from Ignacio Arfeli, who was a star guest at this party, we both took DJing to the next level during our first year of university, where we both bought a more professional setup and transformed our music taste in a fast, reckless but also vocal-affine type of techno or trance, which is often accompanied by Breakbeats or some bootleg edits. Having this done, the freshly named CARGO x IGOR duo started their Soundcloud account and during the more liberal time of covid had several debuts in Coburg, Leipzig or Berlin with Elipamanoke Leipzig or Mbia Berlin as clubs among them. Looking forward to playing even bigger gigs, Carl and Viktor put a lot of effort in founding the Elotrance music collective, which consists out of 5 young and talented DJs and producers from Berlin, Leipzig and Munich.
