Ricardo Gonzalez was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and moved to South Florida when he was three years old. Although he was gifted a two-track Traktor mixer when he was about eleven, CARDO wouldn't begin his musical journey until almost ten years later, after attending Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival in 2018. Back in college, CARDO started down the long road of becoming a professional DJ and producer, debuting his first set at a groundbreaking underground music and art collaboration called "The Lab,” and eventually joining forces to help facilitate “Flow Lab,” a burning man and renegade camp that travels across the southeast playing at different festivals and CARDO now calls Miami his home while focusing on perfecting his studio craft. He has released EPs on independent labels like Moonwalk Music Group by Cristhian Balcazar and Vantablak Records. CARDO has played at several iconic venues across Miami like 1-800-Lucky, M2 Miami, ATV Records, The Trip, Le Rouge, Treehouse, and Hyde Beach Miami both solo and as part of a duo named PLOT, and has opened up for artists like Max Chapman, Rossi., Diplo, John Summit, Cloonee, Gordo, Daniel Orpi, Tim Baresko, and more.
