Camilo Miranda is an artist who grew up on beaches in the South Of France and the jungles of northern Brazil that upholds the spirit of the Balearic Islands. As a teenager he moved to the mythological island of Ibiza. It was there that he began exploring electronic music and started DJing at the age of 15. Miranda absorbed a wide, colourful range of rhythms, sounds and dance music history. As a so-called Ibiza kid' he was at ground zero for the endless wave of dance music that hits the Balearic Islands every season. Exploring places like Amnesia, DCIo, Space, Hostal La Torre, Pacha and Cafe Del Mar. It was in these legend- ary places that Miranda embraced Balearic music and began to grow as an artist. For eight seasons he has held a residency at the infamous Pikes Hotel, warming up and playing along the likes of DJ Harvey, Chaos in the CBD, CC:Disco, Blessed Madonna, The Avalanches and many more. In 2015 he and his partner Christian Len began their own hedonistic party on the island called Homies, sharing timeless sounds from Pikes Hotel. Homies has thrown parties at ADE, hosted club nights at Barcelona's Nista and has grown into a unique vinyl label. In addition Miranda has released music with Chris Coco on Music For Dreams and on San Francisco label Lips & Rhythm. He is constantly exploring new sounds in the studio and loves sharing them with everyone he meets on the dance floor. Camilo's style of DJing allows him to escape from being pigeonholed and stand out by creating varied and eclectic soundscapes. Regardless of where he mixes, be it to a sunset, a pool party or a darkened club or space, he fluidly creates the right vibe, being true to himself, while exciting the audience. At the moment he is the exclusive resident and Music Curator at Pikes Ibiza, organising some of the most interesting events on the island and Europe, and travelling the world spinning his tunes to dancing lovers and music geeks in places like ...
