C150 is a Berlin-based DJ moving between trance, psytrance, techno, breaks and occasional hardcore elements. Active since 2012, his sets bring together classics and newer productions without sticking to fixed genre lines, always aiming to be "hot and cheesy" with pressure, emotion and a sense of fun. His sound draws from early trance culture around A State of Trance, Luminosity and Solaris, Berlin’s goa and psytrance scenes of the 2010s, a decade of techno raving in the city, and newer trance-driven currents from crews worldwide. A strong Dutch rave influence runs through it all: serious music, but no stiffness, and a dancefloor open to everyone. Alongside DJing, he co-runs techtelmechtel, a Berlin series dedicated to bringing back the original trance rave spirit: uplifting energy, a warm crowd and carefully selected tech trance and psytrance. Friends also know him as calzone150. The name grew out of “Kai-Zone,” a play on his first name that stuck during the time he occasionally played discos for Kids while working as a counsellor at summer camps.
