Bush Pilot
Biografía
Emerging from Los Angeles' underground electronic scene in 2021, Bush Pilot—the electronic music project of Roman Perry—crafts a signature sound of mid-tempo, glitch-hop productions heavily influenced by pioneers like GRiZ and Justice. With a foundation rooted in over 15 years of production experience across rock, pop, and electronic genres, Bush Pilot brings a uniquely cross-pollinated approach to the dancefloor.
Hailing from LA's Highland Park neighborhood, Bush Pilot has become particularly known for energizing afterparties following Warped Whores burlesque shows, creating the perfect sonic complement to these boundary-pushing performances. 2024 marked a significant milestone with a debut performance at Burning Man, expanding the project's reach beyond the Los Angeles scene.
What truly distinguishes Bush Pilot's sets is the deliberate fusion of nostalgia with contemporary production techniques. Drawing from recognizable hits spanning the 70s through today, each performance recontextualizes familiar sounds into fresh, dance-inducing experiences. The goal remains consistent: get bodies moving, create an atmosphere of nostalgic joy, and gently push listeners beyond their electronic music comfort zones.
With new music slated for release in 2025, Bush Pilot continues to evolve while maintaining the core elements that define the project: fun, funk, and fearless sonic exploration.
When not producing or performing as Bush Pilot, Roman Perry channels his extensive production knowledge into mentoring the next generation of electronic music creators as an instructor at the Los Angeles Recording School, following a tenure at the prestigious Icon Collective.
