Bumpr brings together Nick van der Haas (’03) and Luuk Verheijden (’05), two young creatives from The Hague who have been immersed in music from an early age. Nick and Luuk each bring their own strengths to the project, which naturally complement one another. Nick is the creative driving force of the duo, guided by emotion and innovative ideas, while Luuk focuses on the technical side, with a sharp eye for detail and a strong focus on production and finishing. The combination of creativity and technical precision results in a perfectly balanced whole. They connected through a mutual friend, which led to a studio session that became the starting point of their collaboration, built on a shared vision and ambition. Since then, Bumpr have been shaping their own identity, developing a sound that reflects their roots while exploring new directions. With their debut EP on Robbie Doherty’s label, Avenu, they made an immediate entrance into the house scene, quickly gaining support from artists such as Chris Stussy, Locklead, Rossi and more.
