As a Professional DJ, Pioneer, and Event Promoter Bruce Bailey is certainly known as Detroit Royalty. You haven’t really gotten your dance vibe on in “The D” if he didn’t provide the musical backdrop. Bruce Bailey has been putting in work since his vinyl collecting days of the early 80’s. While the city was embracing & celebrating the emergence of techno; Bailey began perfecting his sound and building a brand through a loyal underground following. Bailey has served as Lead Promoter & Resident DJ for some of the biggest house music weeklies in Detroit history. Including iconic venues such as Cheek’s, Club 246, Lola’s, TV Lounge, Como’s, & Mix Bricktown. Making history as the headliner of the longest running house music night ever in Detroit at Club 246. Bailey has shared the stage with some of the world’s elite artists including: Derrick May, Osunlade, Alton Miller, Kevin Saunderson, Juan Atkins, Carl Craig, Delano Smith, Moodyman, Karizma, Chuck Daniels, Anane Vega, Josh Milan, Mr. V, Peven Everett, The Chosen Few DJ’s (Chicago), Rick Wilhite, Terrence Parker, Eddie C., Monique Bingham, Norm Talley, DJ Minx, Eddie Fowlkes, Ron Trent, Oscar P., Glenn Underground, Green Velvet, Detroit Techno Militia, Stacey Hale, Kyle Hall, Dajae, DJ Spen, Jovonn Just To Name A Few! Representing Internationally; Bailey has established an annual tour in Asia, headlining monstrous events in Beijing and Shanghai. In addition too, annual shows in New York, Houston, Chicago, and More... Bailey is also a producer who has music released on Open Bar, Kolour Recordings, and Defected Records. Working in conjunction with international artists Delano Smith (Mixmode) and Oscar P. (Open Bar). He has also performed at some of the world’s largest festivals including Movement and Charivari. While holding current residencies at several local venues including; TV lounge, Central Kitchen + Bar, Mix Bricktown, The Bosco, and Drive. Which are all located in the Metropolitan Detroit Area. Plus a seasonal residency at Move in New York City. Bruce has been identified in countless publications and named “One of the Cities Top Electronic DJ’s” by the iconic industry giant - Ebony Magazine! Previously, Bailey was also selected to receive “The Entertainer of the Year Award” by the distinguished Native Detroiter Magazine.
