Brenda began DJing in 2013 and has quickly become one of Chicago’s rising techno talents. She is lead A&R for Format Recordings, resident DJ and co-producer of their weekly techno podcast series, Format.FM. A classically trained pianist and saxophonist, her expansive understanding of structure and rhythm allows her to draw inspiration from all kinds of music, from soulful jazz to dark, gritty drum and bass. Brenda’s talent for laying down everything from pulsing ethereal beats to jackin’ stompers demonstrate her versatility and while maintaining consistent themes of darker, harder techno.
