Brawni
Biografía
Dillon Reid’s solo work under the new brawni alias focuses heavily on performing and recording live electronic music through what he has described as a ‘no concept/intentionless’ approach to creation.
“The name brawni comes from the saying brains over brawns", he says. “This music is more "brawns over brains"
Brawni’s debut EP ‘Golden Dawn’ features 4 keenly focused club ready tracks that weave between electro and melodic 4x4 journeys. Stemming from a year of pandemic induced studio time, Dillon wasted no time and got to work producing as many tracks as possible which have been featured in his live sets and gaining attention in the club scene with support from acts like Two Shell.
Dillon has since released 10 live performance videos from different locations which are still coming out every month and has directed 4 music videos for each track off his EP. The latest release on his YouTube Channel is a full live set recording from the Launch Party of his EP. The performance takes place in the abandoned Sailors Home in Limerick showcasing a Live AV show he has been developing in collaboration with Lighting Technician Ben Phelan.
