Born and raised on the Westside of Detroit the Mechanic started his love for music at an early age. He started as a disc jockey in high school with his DJ partner DJ Dee doing school functions, local radio mix shows and family gatherings. During the 90’s Body Mechanic recorded as the studio DJ with the great Kurtis Blow, Rap Mafia, Papa J Smooth, and produced the rap album “Game is to be sold, Not told - Beast Side Crew”. In 1994 he broke ground with his breakout cult booty bass classic Git it Git it w/ Designated Hoodlums which has been compared to ghettotech music from DJ Assault. Bunch of new blah blah blah....Started what you now see everyday "DJs social streaming" with The Bassment 2014. Still releasing music on Detroit Techno Records.
