Bobby Myseh
Biografía
Bobby Myseh is a UK-born, Canada-based DJ, specialising in the selection of music for people to listen to & enjoy, mostly in community-centred settings like radio, local watering holes, underground clubs and cosy festivals.
Bobby cut his musical teeth in the vibrant London community radio scene, holding down residencies on Voices Radio and Music Box Radio.
Now based in Vancouver - on the traditional, ancestral lands and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations - Bobby is a part of a close-nit and growing grassroots DJ community, much of which finds a home at the city's indispensable Bside Radio, where he holds a solo residency and duo residency with fellow 'Show of Hands' DJ, James Hearn. Bobby is also part of an ambient & downtempo-focused duo called 'Tea, BC', with Vancouver staple DJ Pendamental.
Through solo and collaborative radio and live shows, Bobby explores a wide spectrum of sounds, often including: ambient, pysch-folk, soul, bossa nova, lovers rock, balearic, cosmic dub, UK streetsoul, global disco and psychedelic funk & house.
Over the years, Bobby has brought this wide-ranging sound to festivals including Gilles Peterson's 'We Out Here' (as part of the Voices takeover) and British Columbia's 'Basscoast' (as part of the Lobe Studio ambient dome).
