Meet BOABOA, an exciting house-music trio from the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark. The three members, Otto Høgh, Amma Raastoff and Oscar Bjerrehuus, deliver a unique sound that fuses elements from electronic, house, techno and melodic pop. With their unique approach to electronic music creation and their chaotically energetic performances, the three form one of Denmark’s most hyped, enigmatic and well-executed music projects. Their music is energetic, characterised by beautiful melodies and carefully crafted productions. Musical references include Swedish House Mafia, Fred Again…, Claptone, ZHU, Rufus Du Sol and PAX. They have performed at events such as Copenhagen Fashion Week, Distortion, and Roskilde Festival Camp Fest. In 2023, they toured around Sweden, performing at renown clubs such as Underboen and Lyan Club in Stockholm, and Yaki-Da Club in Gothenburg. Their music has also been found in some of Copenhagen’s most prominent clubs, including KB3, Arch and Moon Club. In 2024 they performed at X2 Festival (Norway), Hollafest (Norway), Roskilde Live Camp Circus (Denmark), Musik i Lejet (Denmark), Distortion (Denmark), The Moment (Denmark) and SMUK Fest. Their music is constantly supported by editorial playlists on DSPs, including top placements on One Seven Music playlists, amassing over 2 million streams; and Spotify editorial playlists, such as Fresh Finds: Class of 2024; Best of Fresh Finds Dance 2024; Fresh Finds Dance (cover, #1); Beats of Tomorrow (#3); Club Hits 2025 (#16); All New Dance (#21); Open Air (#7); Oyster (#9); and Creamy (#6). In February 2024, they were the cover of Fresh Finds Nordics and did an Instagram live takeover on Spotify Denmark’s account. In September 2024, to mark the release of their single ‘FIREFLY’, BOABOA was the Fresh Finds Dance global cover for over three weeks, gaining a lot of traction from the industry. Sian Eleri picked 'Firefly' and played it at BBC Radio 1 Future Artists several times, saying "It’s sticky, an underground sound, a hot girl tune, we are catching them early. Just watch them packing out venues at a space near you with this FIREFLY". The support from media and DSPs continued throughout the end of 2024, and BOABOA was added to Best of Fresh Finds 2024, Best of Fresh Finds Dance 2024 and 'Boy Empty' was recognised as the 15th most streamed track outside in Denmark in 2024. The international recognition and demand is taking the trio on writing trips to LA and London in Q1 2025. They are playing their debut UK tour hand in hand with Junior Simba, including dates in Leeds and London in April 2025, and their debut Spain tour during the summer, including 'Microdosis' in Madrid, and 'Le Cluf' in Santander.
