bluum

bluum is a DJ, producer and event organiser based in Wuppertal, Germany. Inspired by the feeling of spring and shaped by years of exploring music production and sound design, bluum approaches electronic music with a colourful and dynamic perspective. His fascination lies as much in the little details of a sound as in the way a track unfolds, builds tension and eventually comes together on the dancefloor. Moving between UK garage, house and bass-forward club music, his sound is rooted in groove. Swung rhythms and warm, soulful textures meet playful percussion and weighty low-end, moving naturally between subtle moments and more intense, driving sections. Rather than sticking to a particular formula, his selections leave room for unexpected turns, contrasts and shifts in energy, without losing the thread that holds everything together. There's a sense of lightness to his approach, without necessarily being light in sound. Drawing on the feeling of renewal associated with spring, his music carries an open, naturally optimistic and playful undertone. The idea is less about escaping reality and more about being present in it, letting music create moments of connection and shared experience. Following a steady run of shows across Germany, bluum has also begun taking his sound abroad, with first appearances in Asia, including Hong Kong and Japan. Beyond his productions and DJ sets, he is active in NRW's wider music scene as part of the ooase collective, co-organising events that bring together diverse musical influences and like-minded people.
