Biografía
Growing up in Wiesbaden, Germany, he made his first musical steps as a DJ heavily inspired by
underground hip hop of the late 90s and early 2000s. After studying music in Mannheim, he moved to Berlin in 2010.
Philipp has worked as a touring musician, founding member, songwriter, and producer for several German bands and projects, including Abby, Gheist, and Feeling Valencia.
With Abby, he performed on international stages from Berlin to Reykjavik, including notable festivals such as Iceland Airwaves, SXSW, Melt Festival, and Glastonbury.
With Gheist, Philipp played regular shows at Berlin's Watergate Club and became part of Solomun’s Diynamic Music collective.
In 2020, Philipp decided to reinvent himself and focus on his own musical path, aiming
to be the most authentic version of himself.
While primarily working on his own, he collaborated with old friends, former band members, and musical figures such as cellist and multi-instrumentalist Philipp Johann Thimm (Apparat, Ellen Allien, Abby), drummer Moritz Baumgärtner (Melt Trio, Matthew Herbert), and producer/mix engineer Olaf Opal (The Notwist) to complete the vision of his debut record.
The album 'Pieces, Falling' will be released in autumn 2024 via the Berlin-based record label
Bigamo, founded by Frank Wiedemann, co-founder and owner of Innervisions, and half of Âme,
Howling, and Schwarzmann.
