Beijo Bae, a devoted househead, is a Korean DJ based in Seoul. Being influenced by the underground club culture from NY/Chicago, she specializes in different styles from Deep House to Afrotech, yet being creative by blending and breaking between genres at the same time. Her journey is focused in finding the roots in sounds. ISIGQI has started its journey in 2022 with love for African electronic music by Beijo Bae. ISIGQI gets its inspiration from some the early pioneers of Afrohouse such as Yoruba, Vega&Nulu and Ocha Records to name a few. We aim to spread the love of African House music in Korea influenced by the likes of Sondela and Stay True Sounds. ISIGQI, derived from the IsiZulu word for "rhythm," is an exhilarating event that celebrates the vibrant beats and melodies of diverse cultures from Africa.
