Diego Alagón aka Bass Playah is a Mexican born, Barcelona based DJ and producer. Having lived 5 years just outside of Detroit, Michigan, he spent countless hours exploring the Michigander and Detroit music scene, which ignited the spark in him to produce and mix tracks. Arriving in Barcelona in 2019, Diego has played in Barcelona's most iconic venues such as Nitsa, Les Enfants, Buena Onda Social Club, Sala Upload, Sala Bikini (Tunnel) and has also contributed his fair share to the Barcelona Underground Scene making events in various secret locations. Aside from his main project (Bass Playah), focusing on deep house and funky grooves, he has an alter ego (DJ Gamba) focusing on electro-minimal beats, having signed an upcoming release with Barcelona local heroes Cupula Recordings. One of his most recent productions (Unknown Artist - Dancing Like A Hoe, a dance floor tool with an illicit Fergie vocal) got picked for Trommel's top 100 tracks of 2022, and he recently completed a Latin America Tour with the French label and YouTube channel Houseum Records. Diego takes it day by day, and only thing is for certain: he will continue to do his best in spreading the good vibes around planet Earth.
