Originally based out of Cleveland, Ohio, BasiK blends his background as a trained percussionist with a love for high energy rhythm, resulting in sets that livens the dance floor, creating an atmosphere that refuses to sit still. His sound pushes into groovy, big base, and euphoric territory, often built around punchy drums, atmospheric textures, and UK inspired basslines. It’s a style that’s landed him multiple Top 100 charting placements across platforms, without compromising the style that defines his approach. Since launching into the scene late 2023, BasiK has made steady moves beyond US borders. After multiple appearances in cities like Detroit, Brooklyn, Chicago and southern outposts like Puerto Rico and Cocoa Beach, he capped off 2024 with a set at Germany’s Fairgrounds Festival, the country's most attended indoor electronic event. That debut marked a turning point, bringing his rhythmic, energetic focused sound to European ears. Back home, BasiK has shared lineups with the likes of Salute, Habstrakt, Danny Byrd, Bladerunner, Inja, DJ SS, Shiba San, Barely Alive, Truth and more. Pulling from a wide spectrum of club culture and translating that energy into his own evolving sound. Now based in Chicago, BasiK has embedded himself within the city’s ever evolving underground, regularly playing with some of its most respected collectives. With BasiK's recent relocation, he is now focused on deepening his production output with new material in the works for late 2025.
