Basic 96 is a DJ and producer from Rouen, France, known for his unique blend of house, minimal, and dub techno. He has released music on several international labels such as Conceptual Records, Misplaced Records, and Symbiotical Records. His performances have taken him across Europe, with notable appearances in Barcelona (SIMPLEXIA Records), Copenhagen, and multiple dates in France — including Paris (18ème - Disco Bar), two shows at La Mazette, as well as gigs in Barneville-Carteret (Normandy) and Menorca (Spain) in September 2025. In Paris, he’s also active in event organization, with three upcoming shows already announced — two at WAX Bar and one at 42 Marches alongside Malin Génie. A member of the Rominimal Collective, LATCH, and COO of Veldt Audio, Basic 96 is steadily establishing himself as one of the rising names in the underground scene. He has shared the decks with artists such as DJ Steaw, Manu Le Malin, Fasme, Jeff The Fool, Loryn, Marina Trench, Binary Digit, Fabe 82, and Meyem. His track “You Can’t Stop The Groove”, produced with Stazzia and released on Novaj Records, has already gathered over 300,000 plays on Spotify.
