Immersed in music since childhood, Cédrik aka CD.R1K is a DJ from Montreal. His musical roots stem from learning the guitar, exploring rock, metal, jazz, and blues. It’s only been a year since he ventured into electronic music. Quickly, he fell in love with its complexity and the release of energy it provides. By day, he studies anthropology, but at twilight, he transforms into a bartender and DJ, taking on the nightlife. He’s drawn to various techno subgenres, including acid techno, hard techno, hard groove, as well as trance and occasionally drum and bass/jungle culture. In his mixes, he creates a symbiosis between melody and polyrhythm. Gradually, he’s making his mark in Montreal’s DJ scene, performing at underground events like ‘Droplets’ and ‘La Face B.’ He has also collaborated with the techno collective Bisous.
