Emerging from the coruscating DIY scene of Canada’s West Coast, B. WEST ignites the dancefloor with post-punk rawness and warehouse rhythms to rouse the body and senses. Having cut their teeth as a member of touring post-punk bands Koban and lié, and most recently, dark electronic duo SIGSALY, their DJ and live hardware sets shine with the relentless dedication of an underground veteran. Motivated by an irrepressible enthusiasm that transcends genres, their techno and acid-heavy mixes are infused with feel-good rave throwbacks and 90s flavors, blending garage, trance, EBM and Techno with abandon. As a member of DJ and events collective Drill, whose queer and BIPOC-forward parties have become a staple of Vancouver’s grassroots nightlife, B. WEST’s uptempo style is matched by a passion for building community ties both on and off the dancefloor. With accelerated beats and emotional highs, B.
