The mind behind of Avika (a.k.a. Gabriella Mravik) is an enthusiastic vinyl collector, selector and DJ based in Hungary, Budapest. She started her carrier as a breaks and drum and bass DJ in 2009 under the artistname of DSH. However her work is also unavoidable in Hungary for broken rhythm lovers she was always open for other music genres like techno and house. The idea of creating an alterego inspired by her family name arrived just in 2013 - since then Avika has become a serious side-project and complementation of her deep musical thinking. In the past years her name is coming up in lineups where worldwide known techno DJs and producers are playing like Charlotte De Witte, Mateo, Gaga, Metha, Mira Joo, Blankah, Ruiz Sierra, KIKO, and Undercatt. Her selection is always an emotional fusion of past, present and future mixed smoothly by ears and heart. Currently she is a member of the Be Massive Records team, residencing the HERZ (Corvin Club) and SWITCH (Kikoto) party series in her home city Budapest, but she is regularly playing nation-wide. Her focus, diligence and openmindness are the key points ensuring an outstanding performance leading her crowd through a memorable journey.
