Hailing from the Swiss city of Geneva, Aténo found his roots in the local trance and dub scene before stretching his musical reach to the ever expanding sub-genres of techno and house spread across the Swiss and neighbouring French landscape in the early 2010s. But it is only in 2019, after multiple years spent in London, New York City, and Lyon (France) that Aténo found his effortless genre-blending style. Aténo has played at some of the most renowned musical institutions around the world such as the Lighthouse in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), 12x12 in Bangkok (Thailand), or Collect in Lisbon (Portugal). Aténo is a co-founder of Kinderdisco, a community driven pop-up event hosted in bespoke locations across Brooklyn, New York with a residency home at TBA-Brooklyn. He is also the founder of Bögen Radio, a community-led radio and DJ school showcasing local talent in Innsbruck (Austria) and beyond. Hard grooves, minimal house, melodic techno, and dark disco are just a few of the many music genres that Aténo truly feels at home with. His sets find a unique way of taking listeners through a journey of energising highs and psychedelic lows, often incorporating sounds and samples from every stretch of the globe he has had the opportunity to visit. With his unique blending style, he not only takes listeners on a musical journey, but also one that explores emotion, time, and space. Aside from DJing, Aténo is also an acclaimed freestyle skier. His creativity on snow is reflected behind the decks where he is always searching to improve his style and find a unique flair that he can truly call his own. His sets have been heard across Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Columbia, the United States, Portugal, Austria, Italy, and beyond.
