Two friends formed Artek after moving from London to Washington, DC in 2018. Drawn to the local house and techno scene, they quickly became fixtures in the DC circuit, performing at storied hallmarks like Flash and 18th Street Lounge, while also energizing new projects like Red Room. Since leaving DC, they’ve forged distinct paths in New York and San Francisco, blending influences from both the roots and fresh sounds of these cities to refine and evolve their sound.
